Sorake Beach located on the southern tip of Nias island offers a consistent right hander wave that works on any tide. Peak swell occurs during may-august with the rest of the months providing shoulder size waves perfect for progressing your surfing.

With two focused surf coaching sessions every day, led by the Nias local Widianto Wau, you'll have plenty of time in the water. Sessions are built around technique, positioning, wave selection, confidence and reading the ocean. And the learning doesn't stop when you leave the water.
DAILY SURF ANALYSIS
Every day, we'll review your surfing through photos and video footage, looking at your technique, positioning and decision-making. You'll be able to see your surfing from a different perspective, understand what you're doing well and identify the small adjustments that can make a big difference.
Some trips are measured in days. Others are remembered in stories. It’s an opportunity to immerse yourself in island life, push your surfing, discover new places, meet great people and come home with stories that stay with you long after the last wave.
EXPLORE THE ISLAND
Between surf sessions, we'll get out and explore.
Visit a traditional Nias cultural village, discover the island's architecture and traditions, explore beaches and hidden corners, and experience the island away from the usual tourist route.
We'll also have sunset trips and a beach barbecue — good food, cold drinks, music, conversation and the kind of evenings that become some of the best memories of the trip.
YOUR STAY
For 9 nights, you'll stay in a cozy beachfront accommodation, with the ocean right outside your door. With your own choice of single or double air coned room, Wifi, swimming pool. Wake up to the sound of the waves, enjoy breakfast together and start the day knowing the surf is only moments away.
Evenings are about slowing down — good food, sunsets, stories from the day's sessions and getting ready for another day in the water.

Growing up in Nias, charging this wave for most the years of his life. Chasing the barrels and big swells since a kid. Currently living and coaching surfers in Bali to reach their goals. Extremely passionated and sees your capacity, outgoing and loves to share his knowledge of the ocean, the surf techniques and the fun of living a life on an island.
